Im Gespräch wurde deutlich, dass sowohl Ai Weiwei als auch die UdK Berlin bestrebt sind, die Aufnahme der Lehrtätigkeit des Künstlers zum Oktober 2015 an der Universität zu konkretisieren. Es wurde das Modell einer offenen Klasse besprochen, die im Grundsatz für UdK-Studierende vieler künstlerischer Disziplinen zugänglich ist. Formate der Auswahl und der Lehre sollen in enger Abstimmung mit dem Künstler entwickelt werden.
